Biography

Navida Stein is a storyteller, actress, musician and writer.

Navida lives in Hell’s Kitchen with her husband James in a 310 square foot studio along with a piano, a violin, lots of rhythm instruments, art supplies and yoga props.

She loves the fact that New York City is her backyard!

an avid reader
continually captivated by the old ancient stories, especially the Greek myths and Grimm’s Fairy Tales
a playwright
a writer & reviewer for StageBuddy, an online New York arts magazine
a long time practitioner of Iyengar yoga, going upside down daily for a new perspective
an accomplished violinist & plays in the Queer Urban Orchestra
fascinated with history
a fabulous cook
a dedicated teaching artist for arts-in-education organizations including Brooklyn Academy of Music, Arts Horizons, Young Audiences New York, and the New York Public Library
a perpetual student of many things
